Teck Lee (PW2) LRT station will open for passenger service on Aug 15, 2024, improving transport connectivity for commuters travelling to Punggol town, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and the Punggol Digital District (PDD).
The opening of Teck Lee LRT station will complement other transport enhancements in Punggol this year, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Wednesday (Jul 31).

Teck Lee LRT station to start operations on Aug 15, 2024

Teck Lee LRT station on the Punggol LRT will open for passenger service almost 19 years after the station was first built in 2005.
The LRT station, located along Sentul Walk, will provide commuters access to the new SIT Punggol Campus and the business park within the PDD.
LTA said there will be covered linkways connecting the LRT station, business park and SIT for first- and last-mile journeys for commuters.

Separately, in 2022 and 2023, LTA also procured 25 new 2-car LRT trains for the Sengkang-Punggol LRT (SPLRT), doubling the number of 2-car trains in the SPLRT fleet.
The new LRT trains will increase passenger capacity to better serve residents and to meet long-term public transport demand.

Additionally, LTA said the opening of Teck Lee LRT station and SPLRT improvements will complement bus services 84G/W, enhancing connectivity to the northern part of Punggol.
Since Jun 23, 2024, the bi-directional circular service has been operating between Punggol bus interchange, Sentul Crescent, Punggol Way, New Punggol Road and Punggol Road.
LTA will also subsequently announce more details on the Punggol Coast (NE18) MRT station, which is on track to open by the end of 2024.
