Bukit Panjang LRT line will be closed on Jan 25, 2026

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Dec 26, 2025, that there will be no train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT for the entire day on Jan 25.

This comes after early closures that took place every Thursday to Sunday from November 2024 to October 2025 to facilitate system renewal works, as well as two full-day closures in August and September 2025 for testing of systems.

In a Facebook update, LTA said there will be a full-day closure of the Bukit Panjang LRT on Sunday, Jan 25, as it migrates to a refurbished Operations Control Centre (OCC).

The Bukit Panjang LRT is currently being operated through an interim OCC, while the refurbished OCC, with a more ergonomic layout, is being upgraded.

Alternate Travel Options; You can take existing bus services to continue with your journeys.; LRT Shuttle B will also run in the direction of BPLRT Service B (Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Panjang, via Petir), every 5-15 minutes.; LRT Shuttle B; BP13 Senja ; BP12 Jelapang ; BP11 Segar ; BP10 Fajar ; BP9 Bangkit; BP8 Pending; BP7 Petir; BP6 DT1 Bukit Panjang; BP5 Phoenix; BP4 Teck Whye; BP3 Keat Hong; BP2 South View; NS4 BP1 Choa Chu Kang; Direction of LRT Shuttle B (Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Panjang, via Petir), every 5-15 minutes.

LTA added that commuters can take existing bus services to continue their journeys, and that LRT Shuttle B will be available, in the direction of Service B, at a frequency of 5-15 mins.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work on #BetterJourneys for you,” said LTA in its social media post.
