The year 2021 has been an eventful year for Singapore’s train network.
With the opening of six new stations, the network length has expanded from 230.5km to 243.5km – 164 train stations across six MRT and three LRT lines.

Standard Tickets for Trains to Phase Out From January 2022
Starting from January 2022, limited use paper tickets, also known as standard tickets, will progressively be discontinued across the train network, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Aug 6, 2021.
