A public preview for the three new stations of the CCL6 will be held on Jul 4, from 9:30am to 9:00pm. The public will be able to enjoy free travel between Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road stations. LTA said that they will be “lining up further activities and will share more details in the coming weeks on [LTA’s] social media pages”.

Passenger service will commence on Jul 12 with the opening of three new stations, Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward Road, completing the Circle Line loop by connecting HarbourFront station to Marina Bay station.

The Circle Line will span 39 kilometres across 33 stations, with 12 interchange stations connecting to all existing MRT lines. LTA says that the completed line will provide “more convenience for commuters, strengthen connectivity and resilience across the rail network, and improve access to key employment nodes, residential areas and lifestyle destinations”.

Travel times between areas in the west, such as Pasir Panjang and Kent Ridge, and the Central Business District and Marina Bay in the city centre, as well as areas in the east, such as Paya Lebar and Mountbatten will be shortened.

“Today a commuter travelling by train from Telok Blangah to Marina Bay needs to transfer between the CCL, NEL and NSL. With the completion of CCL, the same journey can be completed without any transfers on a single train ride, saving around 10 minutes of travel time.” said LTA.

CCL6 stations prioritise commuter convenience and accessibility. This includes barrier-free access lifts escalators and tactile guidance systems at key points.

Energy-efficient technologies like smart lighting motion-sensor controls and hybrid cooling systems are also incorporated. Bicycle parking lots and sheltered linkways promote sustainable mobility by encouraging walking and cycling. The stations’ architecture and streetscape integration harmonise with the surrounding urban and heritage character.
