The long weekend is coming up! If you have plans to stay out late, the operating hours for several train lines have been extended for the eves of Labour Day on Apr 30, 2022, and Hari Raya Puasa on May 2, 2022!
Late Opening of Thomson-East Coast Line Stations – Feb to May 2022
Train services on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will start later at 8:00am on Saturdays and Sundays, from Feb 26, 2022, to May 29, 2022.
This is to facilitate additional engineering hours to support testing in preparation for the third stage of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL3) which is slated for opening later this year.

Exercise Station Guard, an emergency preparedness exercise, will be conducted at Serangoon MRT station on Dec 7, 2021.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA), SMRT Trains and SBS Transit announced in a joint news release on Wednesday (Dec 1).
4 Bus Services Along Downtown Line To Be Rerouted From Dec 12, 2021
Four bus services that are running parallel to several sections of the Downtown Line (DTL) will be amended and rerouted from Dec 12, 2021.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a Facebook post on Monday (Nov 22) that with the opening of new train lines like the DTL, bus services have to be amended to “reduce duplication of routes.”
It added that the amendments “ensure prudent use of taxpayer’s monies, while benefiting as many commuters as possible.”

Early Closure of Selected North East Line Stations – April & May 2021
UPDATE (27 Apr): SBS Transit announced that they have completed the replacement works ahead of schedule. Train services will operate normally and early closures will not be needed.
