System Works for the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) project between Singapore and Johor Bahru are progressing well.
SMRT announced on Wednesday (May 12) that RTS Link operator, RTS Operations Pte Ltd (RTSO), recently awarded nine contracts, totalling around S$320 million.
RTS Link To Be Completed by End-2026
The RTS Link has an estimated capacity to transport up to 10,000 passengers an hour in each direction. When completed, passengers can look forward to seamless connectivity through Woodlands North MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).
“For the almost 300,000 people who cross the Malaysian-Singapore border daily for work, their journey on the 4km light rail line from one country to the other is expected to take only five minutes, excluding customs clearance,” RTSO mentioned in their press release.
