Construction of new MRT stations for the Downtown Line (DTL) extension beyond Bukit Panjang station to a new interchange station on the North-South Line (NSL) will begin in the second quarter of 2026, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Feb 19.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Jan 15 that the first civil contract for the extension of the Downtown Line (DTL) – which would extend beyond Bukit Panjang MRT station to a new interchange station on the North-South Line (NSL) – has been awarded
Downtown Line will extend beyond Bukit Panjang to interchange with North-South Line at Sungei Kadut
The Downtown Line (DTL) will be extended by two stops beyond Bukit Panjang (DT1) station to connect with the North-South Line (NSL) at the future Sungei Kadut (NS6) interchange station.
