SAF To Conduct Military Exercise at The Star Vista on Feb 7
Military Exercise conducted at the Shopping Mall
The military exercise conducted at The Star Vista will involve “ground and aerial elements, which include low-flying aircraft”, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said in a press release last Thursday (Feb 3).
“The public is advised to keep clear of the area, and not to be alarmed,” it added.
Establishment of Temporary Restricted Area for Aerial Activities
A temporary restricted area for aerial activities which include kite-flying and flying unmanned aircraft such as drones will be established around the area from 9pm on Monday and 1am on Tuesday.
In addition to The Star Vista, the restriction for aerial activities will include Buona Vista MRT station, parts of Dover Heights, Dover Ville, Ghim Moh Edge, Ghim Moh Valley and Rochester Park.
These aerial restrictions “ensure the safety of the public and low-flying aircraft in the area”, MINDEF added.
