Minister for Transport Ong Ye Kung gave us a sneak preview of the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 2 (TEL2) which will open in the coming months!

“Ready To Open in Q3 This Year”
In a Facebook post on Friday (May 14), Minister Ong mentioned that the second stage of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL2) is undergoing testing, and ready to be opened in the third quarter (Q3) this year.
“Stretching from Springleaf station to Caldecott station, TEL2 will further expand our rail network, and add another connection from the northern part of Singapore to the Circle Line,” he added.
Minister Ong also thanked the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the hard work building TEL2 and rail operator SMRT for getting it ready for operation.
