Early Closure and Late Opening arrangements for the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will be extended till 31 December 2020 for additional testing hours for the system integration with Stage 2 of the line.
The shorter operating hours were initially till 30 August, and then extended to 1 November.
The second stage of the TEL was originally scheduled to open by the end of this year, but was delayed to the first quarter of 2021 due to the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker measures imposed earlier this year.
