Four bus services that are running parallel to several sections of the Downtown Line (DTL) will be amended and rerouted from Dec 12, 2021.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a Facebook post on Monday (Nov 22) that with the opening of new train lines like the DTL, bus services have to be amended to “reduce duplication of routes.”
It added that the amendments “ensure prudent use of taxpayer’s monies, while benefiting as many commuters as possible.”
There were no Skytrain service running at Changi Airport Terminal 3 on Wednesday (Sep 22) after an SBS Transit bus was involved in an incident, crashing into the pillar supporting the Skytrain tracks.
Speaking to CNA, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that a person was found trapped in the driver’s seat of the bus and was rescued using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The theme for this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) is “Together, Our Singapore Spirit”. It is accompanied with the theme song “The Road Ahead” written and composed by Linying and Evan Low, under the direction and supervision of Music Director, Dr. Sydney Tan.
Selected train and bus services will be extended on the night of 31 December 2020 (Thursday) for New Year’s Eve. Do take note of the extended service hours and plan your journeys if you are travelling late on the night of 31 December 2020.
