LTA seeks public feedback on new Circle Line wayfinding signage ahead of CCL6 opening in 2026

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking the opinion of the public on the upcoming Circle Line (CCL) wayfinding signage in preparation for the opening of CCL stage 6 (CCL6) in 2026. A life-sized mock-up is available for viewing at CCL’s Promenade station from Mar 14-17.

The CCL6, expected to open in the first half of 2026, will add three new MRT stations — Keppel, Cantonment, and Prince Edward Road — between the existing HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations, thus closing the loop for the CCL and shortening travel time in the city.

LTA said in social media posts on Friday that it is “seeking your feedback on the design of enhanced wayfinding signages” for the CCL as it works towards closing the loop next year with CCL6. It is conducting a four-day in-person and online survey till Mar 17.

Life-sized mock-ups of the new CCL6 wayfinding signage, including entrance, concourse, and platform-level signage, have been placed at CCL’s Promenade station, allowing the public to have a better understanding and experience of the proposed implementations in person.

In addition to wayfinding signage, LTA is also seeking feedback on the alternative namings for ‘Inner Loop’ or ‘Outer Loop’ to indicate the direction of travel on the loop service, where “Inner Loop refers to the anti-clockwise direction while Outer Loop refers to the clockwise direction.”

LTA is considering the use of directional arrows to indicate the direction of travel on the arrival screens at the platform.

SGTrains understands that, due to the pending design with CCL6, the CCL is the last MRT line that has yet to conduct an update of platform-level signage pasted above the platform screen doors (PSDs), similar to the ones first implemented on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).

LTA said the public can visit CCL’s Promenade station at Platform B to view the life-sized mock-up till Mar 17; staff assistance is available from 10am to 8pm. An online survey that will take up to 20 mins to complete is also available at https://go.gov.sg/ccl6pe.
