New Feature: Bot Notifications on Telegram

Initial Launch

The Bot Notifications feature allows trainspotters to subscribe to various types of notifications they wish to receive and get updated on.

For the initial launch, trainspotters can subscribe to get notifications whenever a 2nd-gen Siemens C651 train or 3rd-gen Kawasaki-Nippon Sharyo C751B train for the North-South and East-West lines is spotted for the first time on a day-to-day basis.

Although data for this feature to work is crowdsourced by other users of the platform, the Moderation Team will keep an eye out for any possible erroneous spottings.

Since its launch, Spotters by SGTrains has been operating through crowdsourcing spotting data from other users, and we encourage you to use the Report Spotting function to alert the Moderation Team, should you encounter any erroneous spotting submitted.

Future Expansion

The Bot Notification feature, pending feedback and evaluation, can and will be further expanded for other notification categories.

This includes and is not limited to new trains commencing passenger service for the first time, refurbished trains returning to passenger service, decommissioning of trains and status updates on train equipment retrofitting works.
